Recursive music import or local import agent
What is the problem you are facing?
For someone with 18000 songs, the current upload of a directory at a time is tedious. Would prefer recursive directory search. OK, so maybe trying to import my ~/Music directory would be bad because the system might time out. But I have a file structure of Music/Artist/Album/songs.ext. So maybe being able to import the entire artist at once. Alternatively, a local agent that sits on my computer like the google music uploader. Detects changes and uploads new files.
What are the possible drawbacks or issues with the requested changes?
Again, I can see where it might be bad to allow the user to expect to be able to upload all their songs without any issues. Perhaps recommend in the upload dialog a certain number of files to try to upload at once. With the local agent I see less issues, although it's another thing for the devs to support.
Context
Again, for the local agent I'd point to google music's uploader.
