• Communicate so people tag artist on wikidata with
  • the right political genre (with a reference)
  • a musicbrainz id

List of genres to ban :

• neo-nazi music : main category, other genre are subclass of this one

• white power music

• nazi rock

• National Socialist black metal

• Rock identitaire français

• nazi punk

• Italian right-wing alternative music

• Rock Against Communism

• Hatecore to do to the query

• Is there other genres to add ?

• add artists that were published by nazi labels ?

We can also use right-wing extremism on political alignment property (excluded due to increased query time and no more result see this comment)

• use the generic neo nazi music ?
• Filtering for content with reference only take way more time (hitting timeout) how to optimize ? fileter only on the results ?

What about Streisand effect

Streisand effect could lead to promotion of nazis artist. Considering the size of our community is not probable and if it happen it will also valorate our project.

Follow up

• find platforms/events(festivals) that promote these artists to call them out.

  • spotify (write a script to count how much artists they host)

• update our code of conduct to explicitly reject far right content
