## Android App
In September we even got a new project in the Funkwhale family: The official Android App. It’s not a new project by any means, it’s a fork of the amazing Otter by [apognu](https://github.com/apognu). We decided to fork to keep the app usable with the 1.2.0 release, which removed an old authentication method. Thanks to ryan\_harg, it’s still possible to listen to your favorite audio content using an Android App. Hopefully we can attract some more developers, maybe even funded by the Google Summer of Code. There are a lot of great ideas for new features and I am really curious where this development is going in the next year.

## Financial results
In 2021 we collected the amazing amount of 3,045.63€ in donations and membership fees. On the other side, we spent 924.79€ for the hosting of our infrastructure and open.audio. In summary we have a balance of 2,120.84€ for 2021, which means we have around 4,000€ available on our bank account. In our forum [a discussion takes place](https://forum.funkwhale.audio/d/98-current-plans-for-usage-of-funkwhale-collective-funds/5), how to invest this money in the best way. If you have ideas, let us know!
