Wrong album artist name, AlbumArtist ignored?
Importing an album from "nÄo" named "Picture This If You Will…" [0], my library ends up with the album credited to "nÄo feat. Cat’s Eyes".
The artist "nÄo" is not even present in the library. The album in encoded in regular FLAC 44.1kHz/16b.
Files I'm importing provide Artist
, AlbumArtist
and even Artists
(which is a multi-valued tag) tags (picard tagging).
"nÄo feat. Cat’s Eyes" is indeed an artist credited for some tracks in the album but definitely not the "album artist" which is actually "nÄo".
Importing albums with similar artists layout does not always lead to the same behavior.
My guess is this is happening because the first track of the album is a featuring (hypothetical, not confirmed).
There are actually two requests here.
- I'd like to see all artists credited in the album in my library (please note that for some other albums funkwhale behaves correctly with the same multi-artist layout albums)
- I'm expecting an album to be credited to the main artist (ie.
AlbumArtist
, which looks to be already honored for some other albums I'm importing as already mentioned before).

ps:
I did not make an exhaustive search in the tracker to spot a similar issue, excuse me if it's the case.
