Simplify the layout of the Browse screen

What is the problem you are facing?

The Browse screen seems a bit busy to me, with several sections distributed horizontally and vertically across the screen. I've made a mockup with (I think) a simpler interface:

As you can see, it has two panes:

  1. An activity pane at the left side, with all the new stuff that has happened, including your notifications, listened songs and favorited songs.

  2. A content pane at the right side, with all the new content (artists / albums / radios / playlists) that has been added. This pane shows the last few items and has a "see more" button that takes you to the corresponding screen (artists / albums / etc).

What are the possible drawbacks or issues with the requested changes?

I don't think there are any major drawbacks, since the content shown is basically the same and the only change is how it's distributed on the screen.
