Browser keyboard shortcuts do not work on some pages

Steps to reproduce

1. Visit the home page, /favorites or /activity (note: there might be others).
2. Press a browser keyboard shortcut, for example ctrl+l or ctrl+f.

Note: the issue does not occur on some pages, for example /library.

What happens?

Nothing!

What is expected?

• ctrl+l should set the focus to the url bar.
• ctrl+f should open the search field.
