Follow-up from "WIP: Enable stepless adjustment of the volume control slider"

The following discussion from !1294 (merged) should be addressed:

    Do we expect any users to hit this in practice? The only way I can see to open the volume slide is to awkwardly tab through a bunch of elements without UI feedback, which I wouldn't expect users typically would do when most keyboards have media keys as an alternative.

    I don't know, but I definitely sometimes use keyboard to control sliders stepwise sometimes. In this case you can use the keyboard once you have clicked on the slider once. I agree it is in the current UI not something I'd expect people to do often, but if one does and the slider jumps completely to min / max that would be annoying.

The sane solution for this is adding a shortcut to open the volume slider in the Frontend.
